mindful living & movement
Kristin Fehrman
My name is Kristin Fehrman and I am a mental health professional, meditation guide, and 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher rooted in presence, peace, and personal transformation. My own struggles led me to mindfulness in 2016, so my practice is shaped by lived experience, compassion, and the belief that healing begins with being present for ourselves. My approach is gentle, intentional, and accessible; I believe mindful living is less about perfection and more about learning to listen to the body, the breath, and the voice within.

Mindful Living
Meditation is an invitation to pause, become present, and meet ourselves with greater awareness and compassion. My approach to meditation is especially informed by my work in addiction recovery, where mindfulness can offer a meaningful way to notice thoughts, emotions, cravings, and patterns without immediately reacting to them. Through breath, stillness, and gentle awareness, meditation can help create a little more space between what we experience and how we respond.I offer practices that are accessible, grounded, and supportive of recovery, helping students cultivate presence, equanimity, self-compassion, and a deeper connection to themselves.-Guided Meditation
-Intentional Journaling
-Breathwork (Pranayama) Practice
Movement
Each practice is thoughtfully created to honor your body, experience, energy, and intentions, creating a supportive space to explore movement without pressure or comparison.I am certified in the following styles of yoga:-Hatha Yoga
-Vinyasa Yoga
-Yin YogaWhether you are new to yoga, looking to deepen your practice, seeking gentle movement, or simply craving a quieter and more mindful experience, there is space to meet you where you are. Through mindful movement, breath, meditation, and stillness, we can cultivate greater body awareness, ease, strength, balance, and connection- both on and off the mat.

My Story
I grew up in Traverse City, Michigan, and spent much of my adult life searching for a place that felt like home. After graduating college, I lived in nine different cities across the country, experiencing new versions of myself along the way. Over the years I worked at tech startups, in hospitality, fashion, marketing, and the legal field, constantly exploring new experiences and pathways. Eventually, I realized what I was searching for wasn't another place...
I had been searching for inner peace the entire time.In 2019, I returned to Michigan and later made a home in Detroit. Coming back to the place I started taught me something I hadn't expected- sometimes the life we're looking for isn't somewhere else. Sometimes, it is found by slowing down enough to appreciate where we already are.

Your Home is Within
Wherever you are in the world,
there is an opportunity to come home to yourself.Yoga and meditation are not about becoming someone different; they are practices of noticing, meeting the body as it is, and learning to be present. You don’t need a perfect space, a flexible body, or a quiet mind… you simply begin where you are.The practice will meet you there.
